About the role

The Mangaluru Kitchen is seeking a dedicated Kitchen Team Member to join its on‑site team in Nagpur. This full‑time position supports the head chef and kitchen crew in delivering authentic South Indian cuisine while maintaining high standards of hygiene and service.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with food preparation tasks such as chopping, marinating, cooking, and plating according to established recipes.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene throughout the kitchen, including washing utensils and organizing workstations.
• Ensure proper storage of ingredients and monitor inventory levels.
• Support kitchen staff during busy service periods and follow all safety procedures.
• Participate in basic stock management and inventory checks as needed.

Required profile

• Ability to follow recipes, food‑preparation instructions, and plating guidelines accurately.
• Knowledge of basic kitchen operations, hygiene standards, and food‑safety practices.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills to coordinate with chefs and other staff.
• Physical stamina to stand for long periods, lift supplies, and work in a fast‑paced environment.
• Previous experience in a restaurant kitchen or food‑service setting is an advantage.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
• Basic education with the ability to understand instructions in English or the local language.
