Junior Production Officer – Manufacturing & Packaging

About the role

The Junior Production Officer will support the manufacturing and packaging operations in a hormone production facility, ensuring compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and data‑integrity standards. This entry‑level position offers hands‑on experience with production equipment, process monitoring, and cross‑functional coordination.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain compliance with current GMP and Good Distribution Practice (GDP) requirements, focusing on data integrity.
• Achieve monthly and yearly production targets set for the department.
• Identify and manage equipment alarms according to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Monitor in‑process parameters via PLC/SCADA systems and ensure they align with the batch process record (BPR).
• Operate and troubleshoot packaging machines, following equipment‑specific SOPs.
• Coordinate with colleagues, the Head of Department, and QA to resolve discrepancies in the packing area.
• Perform cleaning, batch packing documentation, and maintain logbooks for the packing zone.
• Support the engineering team to minimise breakdowns and manage spare‑part inventories for primary and secondary packaging equipment.
• Follow safety policies, report incidents, near‑misses, and participate in behavior‑based safety (BBS) programs.
• Complete mandatory training within stipulated timelines.

Required profile

• Recent graduate or early‑career professional with a background in manufacturing, engineering, or related sciences.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow SOPs and GMP guidelines.
• Willingness to work in a regulated production environment and collaborate with cross‑functional teams.

Required skills

• Experience or familiarity with PLC systems.
• Experience or familiarity with SCADA systems.
