Junior Production Officer – Manufacturing & Packaging

About the role

The Junior Production Officer will support the manufacturing and packaging operations in a hormone facility, ensuring compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and data‑integrity standards. This entry‑level position works closely with the production, engineering, and quality teams to meet monthly and yearly production targets.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain compliance with current GMP and Good Distribution Practice (GDP) standards, including data‑integrity requirements.
• Achieve monthly and yearly production targets for the department.
• Identify and manage alarms according to SOPs.
• Monitor in‑process parameters using PLC/SCADA systems as defined in the Batch Process Record (BPR).
• Operate and troubleshoot packaging machines following equipment SOPs.
• Coordinate with colleagues, HOD, and QA to resolve discrepancies in the packing section.
• Perform cleaning, batch packing records, and logbook updates for the packing area.
• Maintain spare parts inventory for primary and secondary packing machines.
• Follow Abbott safety policies, report incidents, accidents, near‑misses, and conduct required training.

Required profile

• Understanding of GMP, GDP, and data‑integrity principles.
• Ability to follow SOPs and safety regulations rigorously.
• Strong attention to detail for in‑process checks and documentation.
• Willingness to support engineering in minimizing equipment breakdowns.
