Junior Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

About the role

Tetra Pak is looking for a Junior Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join its production site in Chakan, Pune. You will support the safe and efficient operation of plant equipment, ensuring minimal downtime and compliance with safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Follow production safety rules and work according to established procedures and standards.
• Receive, sort, and manage spare parts, consumables, and supplies following SOP and 5S standards.
• Participate in regular preventive maintenance activities.
• Maintain Master Data Management (MDM) requests and update equipment records in SAP.
• Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns to minimise plant downtime.
• Contribute to maintenance improvement teams and share best practices.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Engineering from a recognized institute.
• 3‑5 years of experience in mechanical maintenance or spare‑parts management.
• Basic knowledge of SAP for equipment and inventory tracking.
• Familiarity with World Class Manufacturing (WCM) principles for breakdown and anomaly analysis.
• Ability to perform root‑cause analysis and develop corrective actions.
