Investment Performance Analyst

About the role

AB Global, a global investment management firm, is hiring a Pune-based Investment Performance Analyst to join its Performance department in Global Technology & Operations. The Institutional Performance team calculates and reports performance metrics to portfolio managers, client reporting and servicing teams, custodians and end clients.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze the total return of institutional portfolios that fall outside acceptable tolerance versus the benchmark, or representative accounts for each investment strategy.
• Prepare and review gross-of-fees and net-of-fees performance reports together with risk statistics on a scheduled and ad hoc basis.
• Perform quality control and reconciliation tasks for institutional portfolios.
• Review and sign off account performance on a monthly basis.
• Train and mentor new joiners on performance reports and help document standard operating procedures.

Required profile

• Graduate or MBA (Finance).
• Up to 2 years of experience in investment performance measurement.
• Strong understanding of capital market fundamentals and investment performance measurement methodologies.
• Good logical, analytical and problem-solving ability, attention to detail, and strong interpersonal and client focus.
• Clear communication, multitasking and prioritization skills.

Required skills

• Portfolio performance measurement.
• Good knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel (desirable).
