International Dam Design Expert

About the role

We are seeking an experienced International Dam Design Expert to lead the design and supervision of major dam projects. The role involves delivering high‑quality structural and hydraulic solutions for complex water infrastructure in a multicultural environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and review the structural and hydraulic design of dams and associated infrastructure.
• Conduct feasibility studies, detailed engineering design, and technical due diligence.
• Perform static and dynamic stability analyses and safety assessments.
• Provide technical guidance during construction, including site inspections and quality assurance.
• Review and approve design drawings, technical specifications, and reports.
• Ensure compliance with international standards such as ICOLD, World Bank, and FIDIC.
• Mentor junior engineers and build local capacity.
• Support client coordination, technical meetings, and reporting requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering; Master’s or higher in Structural Engineering or Water Resources Engineering.
• Minimum 15 years of professional experience in dam planning, design, and construction supervision.
• Experience on at least five large dam projects, preferably with international exposure.
• Demonstrated expertise in concrete gravity, RCC, embankment, or arch dams.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and leadership abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency in STAAD, SAP2000, PLAXIS, GeoStudio, and HEC‑RAS.
• Ability to conduct structural analysis, stability assessment, and hydraulic design of spillways and outlets.
• Experience with seismic analysis and flood routing studies.
