Internal Medicine Consultant – Full‑time Clinical Role

About the role

The Internal Medicine Consultant will deliver comprehensive diagnostic and therapeutic care to adult patients at Kanishk Surgical & Super Specialty Hospital. This full‑time, on‑site position involves managing a wide spectrum of acute and chronic medical conditions while collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient evaluations in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Order, interpret, and integrate laboratory, imaging, and other diagnostic investigations into treatment plans.
• Develop and implement evidence‑based management strategies for acute, preventive, and chronic diseases.
• Participate in daily clinical rounds, document accurately in medical records, and adhere to hospital protocols.
• Coordinate care with specialty departments such as cardiology, nephrology, pulmonology, and critical care.
• Provide education to patients and families and contribute to internal seminars and case reviews.

Required profile

• MD/DNB in Internal Medicine or an equivalent recognized qualification.
• Valid registration with the relevant medical council.
• Strong clinical competence in adult internal medicine, including diagnosis and long‑term management.
• Experience in a tertiary or multi‑specialty hospital is preferred.
• Commitment to evidence‑based practice, clinical governance, and continuous professional development.

Required skills

• Interpretation of laboratory tests, imaging studies, and other diagnostic investigations.
• Effective patient communication, counseling, and shared decision‑making.
