Indirect Tax Executive (CA Fresher)

About the role

This position is designed for fresh Chartered Accountants or recent graduates with a strong interest in indirect taxes. You will support GST compliance, filing, and reconciliation across multiple states, working closely with finance, tax consultants, and external auditors.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and file GSTR‑1, GSTR‑3B, GSTR‑9 and GSTR‑9C returns, ensuring accurate data collection from finance and other departments.
• Perform test‑check reviews of valuation, place of supply, and time of supply, and verify outward supply documents.
• Reconcile input tax credit (ITC) between GSTR‑3B, GSTR‑2A, purchase registers and company GLs, and compute final GST liability.
• Assist in preparation of payment challans and GST refunds, and follow up with tax authorities.
• Maintain GST records, support audits, and update the taxation manual with the latest rulings.
• Prepare MIS reports and provide documentation for tax enquiries, assessments, or appeals.

Required profile

• Strong passion for tax and willingness to learn.
• Completed articleship or up to 1.5 years of post‑qualification experience in indirect taxes (GST, service tax, customs, VAT, etc.).
• Basic knowledge of indirect tax laws and ability to work in a team.
