Human Resources Lead

About the role

The Human Resources Lead will drive talent acquisition, compliance, payroll, and culture initiatives for a fast‑growing biotechnology company. This role supports both white‑collar (R&D, quality) and blue‑collar (plant operations, manufacturing) teams, ensuring a high‑performing and compliant workforce.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end hiring for R&D, scientific, quality assurance, plant operations, manufacturing and warehouse positions.
• Design and implement a performance appraisal framework aligned with research and production goals.
• Ensure strict compliance with Indian labor laws, factory acts, PF, ESIC, CLRA, Shops & Establishments, and TDS.
• Manage audits, government inspections and maintain statutory registers.
• Oversee monthly payroll processing, employee records, contracts, leaves and benefits for all employee categories.
• Develop, implement and continuously improve HR policies, SOPs and employee manuals.
• Drive employee engagement, foster an inclusive culture and maintain healthy industrial‑employee relations across office, lab and plant.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field (MBA preferred).
• 8+ years of HR generalist experience, preferably in manufacturing, biotech or pharmaceutical environments.
• In‑depth knowledge of statutory compliance and strong grievance‑redressal capabilities.
