High Voltage Technician

About the role

We are seeking experienced High Voltage (HV) Technicians specialized in systems above 50 kV to join our global operations team. The role involves travelling to multiple sites, supervising on‑site activities and taking direct technical accountability for complex electrical projects such as wind farms and power infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise routing, installation and termination of HV cables on switchgear and transformers.
• Perform pressurisation of HV equipment using SF₆ or clean‑air systems.
• Carry out VLF testing, primary and secondary injection tests, and HV fault diagnostics.
• Execute on‑site energisation of wind turbines and grid‑connection assets.
• Plan and manage daily site activities, including team allocation and material logistics.
• Ensure strict compliance with safety standards, regulations and client‑specific requirements.
• Collaborate with client representatives, site managers and subcontractors to deliver high‑quality results on schedule.

Required profile

• Proven experience in HV installations (33 kV or higher) and cable pulling, switchgear installation, terminations and energisation.
• Ability to lead and supervise teams in international project environments.
• Hands‑on experience with VLF testing, pressurisation, injection testing and final commissioning.
• Strong knowledge of international EHS standards and safe working practices.
• Communicative level of English, valid driver’s licence and medical fitness for physically demanding on‑site work.
