Head of Data (Data Engineering + Machine Learning)

About the role

Easyship is seeking a Head of Data to shape the company’s data and AI strategy, drive infrastructure development, and lead AI innovation. This senior leader will work closely with product, engineering, marketing, and operations teams to turn data into actionable insights and competitive advantage.

Key responsibilities

• Define and own the company‑wide Data & AI strategy, aligning it with business objectives.
• Lead and scale a high‑performing team across analytics, data engineering and, eventually, data science.
• Champion AI and machine‑learning initiatives, delivering proofs‑of‑concept and pilots.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional leaders to ensure data is accessible, actionable and trustworthy.
• Guide architectural decisions for analytics platforms, infrastructure and tooling.
• Ensure data quality, governance and compliance across the organization.

Required profile

• 7+ years of experience in senior data leadership roles, such as Head of Data.
• Strategic thinker with strong communication skills, able to align technical and business teams.
• Proven track record delivering AI/ML pilots and scaling data teams.
• Resourceful, resilient and comfortable in an entrepreneurial, fast‑moving environment.
