General Cashier

About the role

The Hoxton Bengaluru City is recruiting a General Cashier for its first neighbourhood hotel in Asia, set to open in the city centre in 2026. The role covers daily cash handling, reconciliations and petty cash, working closely with the Finance department.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily cash collections from Front Office, Food & Beverage and other operating departments
• Verify, reconcile and securely deposit cash in line with company policies and internal controls
• Maintain the petty cash fund, process reimbursements and authorise and document transactions
• Prepare daily cash reports, bank deposits and reconciliation statements for Finance
• Record, balance and replenish cash floats issued to departments
• Investigate and resolve cash discrepancies with full supporting documentation

Required profile

• Previous experience as a General Cashier, Cashier or Finance Executive in a hotel or hospitality setting
• Passion for hospitality with a strong commitment to financial accuracy and integrity
• Highly organised, trustworthy and confidential with good attention to detail
• Detail-oriented, able to work accurately under pressure and collaborate across departments

Required skills

• Good knowledge of cash handling, banking processes and financial controls
• Experience with hotel financial systems and Microsoft Office, especially Excel
• Strong numerical, reconciliation and problem-solving skills
• Good communication skills and ability to work independently to meet deadlines
