Full‑time Deli Assistant

About the role

We are looking for a friendly and motivated Deli Assistant to join our team at Centra on Muckross Road. In this full‑time position you will prepare high‑quality hot and cold deli items while ensuring excellent customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and assemble sandwiches, rolls, hot dishes and sliced meats following portion‑control standards.
• Cook, prepare and display deli products throughout the day, maintaining freshness and visual appeal.
• Keep all fresh‑food counters clean and well‑stocked, adhering to hygiene and safety guidelines.
• Assist customers with product knowledge, recipe ideas and personal recommendations.
• Handle customer enquiries and resolve issues promptly in line with store policy.

Required profile

• Strong communication skills and a customer‑focused attitude.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced team environment and multitask under pressure.
• Passion for food and willingness to share knowledge with shoppers.
• Previous experience in retail or food service is an advantage.

Required skills

• HACCP training (desirable but not mandatory).
