Frontend Software Developer

About the role

Bharat Startup Yatra is building a national storytelling and ecosystem platform for startups across India. As a Frontend Software Developer you will shape the digital experience from the ground up, turning designs and business needs into responsive, user‑friendly web applications.

Key responsibilities

• Build modern, responsive and user‑friendly web applications.
• Translate designs and business requirements into seamless digital experiences.
• Collaborate closely with design, backend and product teams.
• Develop scalable and reusable frontend components.
• Improve performance, usability and accessibility.
• Ensure a consistent experience across devices and browsers.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering or related field (preferred).
• Strong practical development skills and relevant project experience.
• Ownership mindset, curiosity about new technologies, and ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
• Effective communication and time‑management abilities.

Required skills

• HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+).
• React.js or another modern frontend framework.
• Responsive web design and cross‑browser compatibility.
• Experience with REST APIs and JSON.
• Git and version‑control workflows.
• Frontend build tools such as Vite, Webpack, or similar.
• Web performance optimization and debugging with browser developer tools.
• Understanding of UI/UX principles.
• Familiarity with Figma or other UI/UX design tools (nice to have).
