French Interpreter

About the role

DATAMARK is seeking a full‑time, on‑site French Interpreter for its contact‑center operations in Navi Mumbai. The interpreter will provide real‑time interpretation between French and English (and, when needed, local languages) for customer calls, video sessions, meetings and other support interactions, ensuring clear, accurate and culturally appropriate communication.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret spoken and written content from French to English and vice‑versa during live customer interactions.
• Support phone, chat, video and other communication channels within the contact‑center environment.
• Document key information from interpreted sessions and follow established procedures.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to data‑security standards.
• Collaborate with team leaders and quality teams to uphold service quality.

Required profile

• Strong bilingual proficiency in French and English with fluent, accurate interpretation in both directions.
• Experience in consecutive and/or simultaneous interpretation.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, clear pronunciation and professional demeanor.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced contact‑center setting, handling calls, chats or video sessions.
• High attention to detail, good time‑management and calmness under pressure.
• Commitment to confidentiality and respect for cultural differences.
• Minimum high‑school diploma; a bachelor’s degree in languages, translation, interpretation or related field is a plus.

Required skills

• Strong verbal and written communication.
• Familiarity with contact‑center tools and systems.
