Food & Beverage Service Associate (GSA)

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Food & Beverage Service Associate (GSA) to join the hospitality team at Grand Mercure Mysore. In this position you will be the front‑line representative of our F&B operations, ensuring every guest enjoys a warm, seamless dining experience.

Key responsibilities

• Greet and seat guests courteously, creating a welcoming atmosphere.
• Present menus, take orders accurately, and serve food and beverages promptly.
• Maintain table setup and cleanliness according to hotel standards.
• Develop thorough knowledge of menu items, ingredients, specials, and preparation methods to advise guests.
• Coordinate with kitchen and bar staff to guarantee timely service.
• Handle guest inquiries, concerns, and complaints with empathy, escalating when needed.
• Adhere to hygiene, grooming, and safety protocols.
• Assist with billing, cash handling, and payment processing.
• Support setup and breakdown for banquets, special events, and themed dining experiences.
• Organise and manage your assigned station to maximise efficiency.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Hotel Management, Hospitality or a related field.
• 0–2 years of hands‑on experience in food‑and‑beverage service within a hotel, restaurant or similar establishment.
• Excellent communication skills and a customer‑focused attitude.
