Fluids Design Control Engineer

About the role

Caterpillar is seeking a Fluids Design Control Engineer to lead the design control process for fluids products. You will ensure that drawings, specifications, and product data are accurate, compliant, and properly managed throughout the product lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Manage engineering changes and controlled product documentation for fluids designs.
• Maintain and standardize fluids drawings and database records to ensure configuration control.
• Coordinate with cross‑functional teams to support APQP and FMEA inputs, risk evaluation, validation, and release activities.
• Interpret and update engineering drawings, specifications, and technical standards.
• Evaluate technical information, identify risks, and provide evidence‑based engineering recommendations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (or Chemistry/Chemical Engineering preferred).
• Experience in product development, design control, PLM, or engineering change management.
• Working knowledge of APQP and FMEA principles.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and collaborate across functions.
