Financial Reporting Senior Associate Specialist

About the role

BASF is building a new Global Hub in India and is looking for a Financial Reporting Senior Associate Specialist to join its Finance team. You will ensure the integrity and accuracy of accounting data, support month‑end closing, and provide insightful analytics for the headquarters.

Key responsibilities

• Execute month‑end closing procedures and FRC controls, delivering high‑quality reports to headquarters.
• Perform monthly account analysis based on predefined account mapping.
• Prepare and present monthly analytics for finance and tax review meetings.
• Contribute to projects related to process documentation, testing, auditing, and continuous improvement.
• Support local finance activities, including account analysis, analytics, and M&A coordination.
• Guide semi‑senior analysts by sharing best practices and system knowledge.
• Maintain proactive communication with stakeholders across the organization.
• Identify and propose enhancements to end‑to‑end finance processes.

Required profile

• Accountants (preferable) or a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration.
• 5–7 years of relevant experience in finance or accounting.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a multicultural, fast‑paced global environment.
• High attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.

Required skills

• Solid knowledge of SAP for financial data management.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially advanced Excel and macros.
• Understanding of IFRS accounting guidelines.
