Financial Controller – Kenya (Hybrid, Bengaluru)

About the role

Flora Food Group is seeking an experienced Financial Controller for its Kenya market, based in Bengaluru on a hybrid schedule. You will lead month‑end close, statutory reporting and tax compliance while partnering with Commercial Finance, Supply Chain, Treasury and Group Finance teams across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Own the month‑end close process, including financial reporting, overhead analysis, cash‑flow forecasting and balance‑sheet management.
• Manage statutory reporting, external audits, VAT filings, corporate tax compliance and regulatory reporting within agreed timelines.
• Lead all financial control activities for the Kenya market, ensuring strong governance, accuracy and compliance.
• Drive Record‑to‑Report (R2R) improvements, balance‑sheet reconciliations and continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Monitor overhead spending, accruals and budget performance, identifying opportunities to enhance financial processes and operational efficiency.

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience in financial controlling, R2R and financial accounting within an international organisation.
• Deep knowledge of IFRS, VAT, corporate tax, external audits and balance‑sheet governance.
• Proven ability to work in a virtual global finance environment and influence senior stakeholders.
