Financial Controller

About the role

Derewala Industries Ltd. is seeking a Financial Controller to lead cost and inventory accounting for its jewelry manufacturing operations in Sitapura, Jaipur. The role combines deep analytical work with hands‑on ERP management to drive profitability and operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Develop a thorough understanding of manufacturing processes and costing methodologies.
• Manage inventory valuation using Microsoft Dynamics AX 2009 (Axapta) and ensure accurate ERP data.
• Analyse Cost of Goods Sold, gross margins, and net profitability across product lines.
• Validate job card closures, production transactions, inventory movements, stock transfers, and material consumption at transaction level.
• Verify Bills of Materials (BOMs) and maintain ERP data in line with approved BOMs.
• Calculate and monitor overhead absorption through the ERP system.
• Prepare product costing and pricing to support CRM and sales teams.
• Develop production and sales budgets related to costing.
• Monitor consumption of high‑value consumables such as gold plating chemicals, rhodium, and other critical materials.
• Conduct profitability analysis by sales order, customer, product, and business unit.
• Analyse production efficiency and precious metal losses department‑wise and metal‑wise.
• Identify cost‑saving opportunities, recommend process improvements, and perform variance analysis.
• Oversee inventory movements, control scrap ratios, and reconcile ERP inventory with physical counts.
• Prepare periodic MIS reports and dashboards for management review.

Required profile

• CMA qualification is mandatory.
• 4–5 years of post‑qualification experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Proven experience with ERP‑based costing and inventory modules.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics AX 2009 (Axapta) is an advantage.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
