Accountant – End-to-End Bookkeeping for Fast‑Growing Watch Brand

About the role

We are looking for a hands‑on Accountant to take full ownership of the company’s books. You will ensure that all financial records are accurate, up‑to‑date and ready for audit, supporting a fast‑growing watch brand that sells through its Shopify store, marketplaces and COD logistics.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain daily books in Tally Prime, recording sales, purchases, expenses, journals and bank entries.
• Perform weekly book closures and deliver a clean trial balance within five days of month‑end.
• Reconcile Shopify, marketplace and COD payouts with payment‑gateway settlements, flagging and resolving gaps.
• Handle vendor and import accounting, including purchase entries, advances, customs duty, freight and foreign‑exchange differences.
• Prepare GST filings (GSTR‑1, 3B, 2B reconciliation), TDS deductions, e‑invoicing and e‑way bills, coordinating with the company’s CA.
• Work with operations to keep inventory records in Tally aligned with physical stock.
• Provide monthly MIS inputs such as expense schedules and bank reconciliations.

Required profile

• B.Com degree (CA Inter / CMA – part‑qualified is a plus).
• Strong command of Tally Prime with ability to create ledgers, post adjustments and generate reports independently.
• Practical knowledge of GST and TDS compliance.
• Proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, PivotTables) and ability to reconcile mismatched data.
• Exposure to e‑commerce settlement files, Shopify or Unicommerce is advantageous.
• Detail‑oriented, self‑driven and willing to raise issues before they become problems.
