Financial Accounting Manager – Servco

About the role

HSBC is seeking a Manager, Financial Accounting for its Servco unit. The role leads end‑to‑end accounting and control activities, ensuring accurate month‑end close, timely regulatory submissions and robust balance‑sheet substantiation. You will work closely with on‑shore and in‑country stakeholders to drive efficiency and improve the customer experience.

Key responsibilities

• Own month‑end close activities, including trial‑balance analysis and financial reporting (SARACEN, Gather).
• Perform balance‑sheet substantiation, resolve open items and coordinate Cadency sign‑offs.
• Set up and manage Servco finance control processes and ensure a strong control environment.
• Execute bank reconciliations and handle inter‑company breaks, coordinating with partner entities.
• Lead regular stakeholder calls to ensure effective service delivery and issue resolution.
• Motivate, manage and develop a team of finance professionals, addressing attrition and progression.
• Initiate and deliver high‑impact quality projects to improve operational efficiency.
• Continuously review processes, identify improvement areas and implement service enhancements.
• Maintain effective relationships with business partners and provide timely escalation of critical issues.

Required profile

• Experienced finance professional with a strong background in financial accounting and month‑end close.
• Proven ability to lead and develop a finance team.
• Excellent analytical skills and ability to resolve complex accounting issues.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
