Finance Director – SaaS & Healthcare

About the role

Simplify Healthcare is a pure product company focused on healthcare technology. The Finance Director will lead financial discipline for a SaaS business, overseeing ARR/MRR tracking, ASC 606 revenue recognition, and product‑level profitability.

Key responsibilities

• Own monthly, quarterly and annual close, preparing P&L, balance sheet and cash flow statements.
• Manage subscription revenue recognition under ASC 606, including deferred revenue and contract modifications.
• Track and report SaaS metrics such as ARR, MRR, churn, net revenue retention and gross margin by product line.
• Design and enforce internal controls, approval matrices and segregation of duties.
• Ensure statutory compliance, tax filings and coordinate internal and external audits.
• Monitor R&D spend, evaluate software cost capitalization versus expensing, and analyse product cost‑to‑serve.
• Support pricing, packaging decisions and margin analysis for client contracts.
• Manage intercompany transactions, reconciliations and transfer‑pricing documentation.
• Partner with product and customer‑success leadership on budgeting, forecasting and strategic financial analysis.

Required profile

• Chartered Accountant (CA) or equivalent qualification (CPA, ACCA) with 10‑13 years post‑qualification experience.
• Experience in a SaaS or healthcare‑technology product company, including ASC 606 revenue recognition.
• Working knowledge of Ind AS and US GAAP.
• Proven ability to lead financial close, reporting and compliance for a product‑centric organization.
