Finance Controller

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Finance Controller to lead the organization’s financial accounting, reporting, compliance and internal control functions for a fast‑growing fashion accessories brand based in Gurugram. The role will ensure financial accuracy, drive process improvements and provide strategic insights to support business decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee monthly, quarterly and annual financial statement closures and prepare MIS, profitability, cash‑flow, balance‑sheet and P&L reports.
• Ensure compliance with Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS) and all applicable accounting principles.
• Develop and strengthen financial controls, SOPs and internal risk‑management practices.
• Lead annual budgeting, periodic forecasting and track budget utilisation, highlighting variances.
• Manage GST, TDS, Income Tax, PF, ESI and other statutory compliances, coordinating with external consultants.
• Coordinate statutory, internal, tax and cost audits and implement audit recommendations.
• Plan cash flow, monitor banking operations, optimise working capital and support debt‑management activities.
• Partner with business teams on pricing, margin analysis, inventory planning and strategic expansion projects.

Required profile

• Minimum 5‑7 years of progressive finance experience, preferably in retail, manufacturing or D2C/e‑commerce.
• Strong knowledge of Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS) and statutory compliance requirements.
• Proven ability to lead and develop a finance team.
• Experience in budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling and cost optimisation.
• Excellent analytical mindset with a focus on governance and internal controls.
