Senior Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Senior Accountant to manage core accounting operations, maintain accurate financial records, and ensure compliance with accounting, tax, and statutory requirements. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of accounting principles, standards, taxation, and advanced Excel skills to handle large volumes of financial data efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day accounting operations, ensuring accurate recording of all financial transactions.
• Handle journal entries, ledger scrutiny, accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and month‑end/year‑end closing.
• Prepare and maintain books of accounts in line with GAAP, applicable standards, and internal policies.
• Perform periodic reconciliations of bank, vendor, customer, and inter‑company balances.
• Prepare financial statements, MIS reports, and management reports as required.
• Ensure compliance with TDS provisions, including deduction, deposit, reconciliation, return filing, and issuance of certificates.
• Manage GST compliance, accounting of GST transactions, input tax credit reconciliation, and statutory filings.
• Support statutory, internal, and tax audits by preparing schedules and reconciliations.
• Identify process gaps, implement accounting controls, and drive automation initiatives.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of accounting concepts, bookkeeping, and financial accounting principles.
• Good understanding of applicable accounting standards and generally accepted accounting practices.
• Sound working knowledge of TDS and GST compliance and other statutory requirements.
• Ability to analyze large datasets with accuracy and strong analytical control.
