Finacle Product Engineer (CMS & API Integrations)

About the role

Synechron is looking for a seasoned Finacle Product Engineer in Chennai to lead the design, customization, integration and ongoing support of Finacle-based banking solutions. The role combines deep expertise in Finacle 11X core banking with hands-on testing and integration work, collaborating with business stakeholders, product teams, QA and IT to deliver scalable, compliant solutions across CMS, core banking and payments modules.

Key responsibilities

• Lead customization, integration and support of Finacle solutions across business units, and define and validate technical requirements, designs and implementation plans.
• Mentor team members and review architectural documents, BRDs, IA/Gap analyses, Fit/Gap analyses and project plans.
• Work with product management to prioritize enhancements and roadmap items.
• Oversee testing strategies, data quality and security controls, and manage deployments, patching and release governance.
• Maintain project documentation, runbooks and operational procedures, and monitor progress and risks.
• Ensure changes are engineered, tested and packaged for client installation or handover, and foster knowledge sharing.

Required profile

• 7+ years of experience in Finacle-related development, testing or implementation.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
• Proven delivery of Finacle projects with cross-functional teams, in regulated banking environments.
• Alternative pathway: extensive Finacle CMS customization/implementation experience or relevant certifications.

Required skills

• Hands-on Finacle experience, preferably Finacle 11X, including CMS, FAS, LMS, TRAMS, ITS and scripting and log validation.
• REST API design, configuration and integration; SQL (Oracle).
• Jira/Confluence and Agile/Scrum; preferred: CI/CD tools, test automation, Azure/AWS/GCP.
• Data privacy, secure coding and audit readiness; preferred: PCI-DSS awareness.
