Export Accountant

About the role

The Export Accountant will oversee the financial records, trade finance operations, and regulatory compliance for international shipping and sales activities. This role ensures accurate accounting across multiple currencies and supports the company’s global trade initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Manage accounts receivable and payable for international clients, agents, and overseas vendors.
• Process and monitor trade finance instruments such as Letters of Credit (LC), Documentary Collections (DP/DA), and Telegraphic Transfers (TT).
• Handle foreign exchange transactions, track currency fluctuations, and reconcile multi‑currency bank accounts.
• Ensure compliance with export incentives, GST/tax filings, e‑BRC submissions, and customs duty structures.
• Track shipping, freight, logistics, and demurrage costs to maintain budgetary control.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce (B.Com) or International Business.
• 2–5 years of experience in general accounting combined with EXIM (Export‑Import) operations.
• Strong knowledge of global trade terms (Incoterms), banking realizations, and customs documentation.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in MS Excel.
• Experience with enterprise accounting software such as Tally, SAP or QuickBooks.
