About the role

Boeing Defense India is seeking an Experienced Back‑Shop Mechanic to join the C‑17 Field Services Team at Hindan, India. The role involves providing maintenance, repair, and operational support for Government Furnished Equipment across multiple specialized shops, including machine, sheet‑metal, NDI, and composite facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Perform electrical and electronics repairs on aircraft components.
• Execute structural and composite repairs using state‑of‑the‑art equipment.
• Conduct non‑destructive inspection (NDI) activities and interpret results.
• Support the Machine Shop, Sheet Metal Shop, NDI Shop, and Composite Shop with maintenance and fabrication tasks.
• Provide operational training to Indian Air Force technicians.
• Manufacture and repair parts as required to sustain mission readiness.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a back‑shop mechanic in an aerospace or defense environment.
• Specialist knowledge of electrical/electronics repairs, structures, composites, and NDI techniques.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a diverse team and think proactively.
• Willingness to train and mentor technical personnel.
