Executive – Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

About the role

Sun Pharma is seeking an experienced Executive to lead mechanical maintenance activities at its Dewas manufacturing facility. You will be responsible for ensuring plant equipment operates reliably through preventive, shutdown and corrective maintenance, while adhering to safety, cGMP and SOP standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance of plant equipment as per SOPs.
• Execute shutdown maintenance and attend to equipment breakdowns.
• Carry out routine maintenance tasks and track work through the Maintenance Work Request (MWR) system.
• Coordinate modification and project work, acting as a reliever for department colleagues.
• Maintain documentation, inventory and housekeeping in the assigned area.
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures, cGMP, SOPs and audit observations.
• Prepare and submit monthly breakdown reports and incident/accident action reports.
• Participate in all job‑related training and follow shift schedules.

Required profile

• B.E. in Mechanical Engineering.
• 7–9 years of experience in plant equipment maintenance.
• Strong knowledge of preventive and shutdown maintenance practices.
• Familiarity with cGMP, SOP compliance and safety permit systems.
• Ability to supervise teams, coordinate projects and maintain accurate records.
