Junior Maintenance Engineer – Mechanical

About the role

Sun Pharma is looking for a motivated Junior Maintenance Engineer to join its Global API Business unit in Dewas. You will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and safety of plant equipment through preventive and shutdown maintenance activities.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance of equipment according to SOPs.
• Execute shutdown maintenance and handle breakdowns of plant equipment.
• Carry out routine maintenance tasks and track work requests in the MWR system.
• Coordinate modification and project work, acting as a reliever for colleagues when needed.
• Maintain compliance with safety procedures, cGMP, and SOPs, including proper documentation.
• Manage material issuance from engineering stores and follow permit‑to‑work systems.
• Ensure housekeeping, inventory control, and timely closure of audit observations and CAPA.
• Prepare and submit monthly reports, breakdown logs, and incident investigations.

Required profile

• B.E. in Mechanical Engineering.
• 1‑5 years of experience in plant maintenance or a similar industrial environment.
• Ability to work in shifts and follow safety and training requirements.
