Executive Housekeeper

About the role

The Grand Mercure Bengaluru Gopalan Mall is seeking an experienced Executive Housekeeper to lead its housekeeping operations. Reporting to senior hotel management, you will ensure that guest rooms, public areas and back‑of‑house facilities consistently meet the brand’s high standards of cleanliness and presentation.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily housekeeping operations across all guest rooms and public areas.
• Supervise, train, schedule and evaluate housekeeping staff.
• Develop and enforce cleaning procedures, quality‑control checks and inspection routines.
• Manage departmental budgets, expenses and resource allocation.
• Monitor inventory of linens, cleaning supplies, amenities and equipment.
• Coordinate with Front Office, Maintenance, Laundry and other departments to ensure seamless service delivery.
• Handle guest complaints and special requests promptly and professionally.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, sanitation and environmental regulations.
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, inventory, inspections and maintenance requests.
• Prepare regular departmental reports and performance metrics.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Hospitality Management, Hotel Management or a related field (preferred).
• 7–10 years of progressive housekeeping experience, including managerial responsibility.
• Strong knowledge of housekeeping operations, cleaning techniques and industry standards.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Property Management Systems (PMS).
• Experience using housekeeping management software.
