Engineering Team Leader – Mechanical

About the role

We are looking for an Engineering Team Leader – Mechanical to head a multidisciplinary mechanical design team at our Guindy, Chennai facility. The role focuses on delivering innovative Husky machine platforms, ensuring high quality, risk mitigation and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach, mentor and cross‑train a team of junior, senior and specialist mechanical designers.
• Oversee the design, development and release of new Husky machine platforms and critical service requests.
• Plan and schedule design activities to meet committed delivery dates aligned with business needs.
• Ensure products meet defined requirements, quality standards and the Husky operating model.
• Drive innovation, risk mitigation and continuous improvement across the mechanical engineering function.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading mechanical engineering teams in a product development environment.
• Strong understanding of mechanical design processes, product lifecycle and customer support.
• Ability to manage project schedules, resources and deliver results on time.
