Engineering Executive

About the role

The Engineering Executive is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and safety of all engineering systems at JW Marriott Goa. This role combines hands‑on technical work with supervisory duties to maintain high standards of guest service and facility reliability.

Key responsibilities

• Install, maintain and perform preventative maintenance on tools, appliances and equipment.
• Calibrate controls, gauges and meters; locate and operate shut‑off valves.
• Order, label, stock parts and supplies; maintain inventory and purchase order logs.
• Conduct life‑safety checks, including fire‑pump and generator run tests, and inspect fire‑sprinkler valves and alarm systems.
• Assist in developing disaster‑response protocols and respond to guest repair requests.
• Support management in hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling and coaching engineering staff.
• Follow all safety, security and company policies; report hazards, accidents and complete required safety training.
• Maintain professional appearance and confidentiality of proprietary information.

Required profile

• Technical, trade or vocational school degree.
• Minimum 2 years of related engineering/maintenance experience.
• Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience.
• No specific license or certification required.

Required skills

• Preventative maintenance techniques.
• Calibration of controls, gauges and meters.
• Inventory management and parts ordering.
• Life‑safety system testing (fire‑pump, generator).
• Fire‑sprinkler and alarm system inspection.
• Operation of power lifts and other mechanical equipment.
