Electrical Maintenance Engineer

About the role

The Electrical Maintenance Engineer is responsible for ensuring the reliability, safety, and optimal performance of electrical equipment within a plant environment. The role involves executing both scheduled and emergency maintenance activities, supporting projects, and maintaining comprehensive documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Execute daily, weekly and monthly maintenance plans for electrical systems, ensuring safe and reliable operation.
• Perform predictive and preventive maintenance, as well as emergency repairs on plant electrical equipment.
• Develop and standardise test procedures and best‑practice guidelines for electrical assets.
• Manage spare‑parts inventory, including identification, tracking, inspection and availability of critical components.
• Support troubleshooting, repair and refurbishment of electrical equipment and components.
• Conduct task‑based risk assessments, obtain necessary permits and ensure compliance with HSEF standards.
• Implement Management of Change (MOC) and CAPEX initiatives accurately.
• Participate in cost budgeting, root‑cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions.
• Maintain compliance documentation and ensure adherence to plant policies and procedures.

Required profile

• Proven experience in electrical maintenance within an industrial or plant setting.
• Familiarity with HSEF safety standards and plant operating procedures.
• Ability to follow documented policies, processes and standard operating procedures.
• Strong organisational skills for planning and coordinating maintenance activities.
