Duty Manager – Facilities & Maintenance

About the role

The Duty Manager will oversee daily operations of building utilities and maintenance services, ensuring all tasks from the previous day are completed and that the facility runs smoothly. Reporting to the General Manager, you will coordinate with block managers, security, pest control, and other service providers.

Key responsibilities

• Verify completion of previous‑day tasks and utility consumption reports.
• Brief senior management on daily reports and receive instructions for planned activities.
• Deploy and monitor JLL, security, pest control, and food‑court teams.
• Inspect utility areas (LT panels, HT yard, fire pump rooms, basements, etc.) and confirm operation of STP, WTP, pumps and storm‑water systems.
• Ensure utility availability (BESCOM electricity, water) and service‑road conditions.
• Visit fit‑out floors to verify safety and cleanliness, and oversee landscaping status.
• Coordinate with water vendors, maintain documentation, and update pending work lists.
• Supervise engineers and maintenance staff, manage shift schedules, and respond to emergencies.
• Oversee building systems including fire/life safety, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, lifts, CCTV and DGs.
• Develop specifications, manage service contracts, and implement preventive‑maintenance programs.

Required profile

• Proven experience in facilities or building‑services management.
• Strong supervisory and coordination abilities.
• Ability to handle multiple stakeholders and prioritize urgent issues.
• Excellent communication skills for briefing senior management and block managers.
