Document Controller – Residential Real Estate Projects

About the role

We are seeking a Document Controller to oversee all project documentation for a residential real‑estate development in Bangalore. The role ensures that drawings, contracts, approvals and reports are accurately managed, version‑controlled and readily available to project teams and external stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and update both physical and digital repositories for all project documents, ensuring proper numbering and version control.
• Track incoming and outgoing documents, log registers and distribute documents to relevant parties on time.
• Coordinate with Project Management, Design, Legal, Procurement and Contractors to obtain and verify document submissions and approvals.
• Support internal and external audits by providing required statutory and project documentation.
• Prepare regular status reports, submission trackers and MIS dashboards highlighting delays or gaps.

Required profile

• Graduate in any discipline; engineering or construction background preferred.
• 3–7 years of document control experience, preferably in construction or real‑estate projects.
• Strong attention to detail, good coordination skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Word.
• Experience with document management systems and EDMS tools such as Aconex.
• Understanding of construction drawings, contracts and approval processes.
