Discipline Engineer

About the role

Valeo is seeking a Discipline Engineer to join its global engineering team. In this role you will deliver technical solutions for defined projects, support budget awareness, create clear documentation, and coach junior engineers while contributing to continuous improvement and innovation.

Key responsibilities

• Demonstrate awareness of project budgets and optimise resource utilisation.
• Execute technical solutions for engineering tasks focusing on Newness levels 1‑2.
• Participate in problem‑solving initiatives using Valeo’s QRQC methodology.
• Prepare concise technical documentation, reports, specifications and presentations.
• Apply existing design standards and ensure alignment with Valeo guidelines.
• Adopt digital tools outlined in the Discipline’s Digitalization Roadmap to boost efficiency.
• Identify and suggest process optimisation opportunities.
• Contribute innovative ideas and support intellectual‑property awareness.

Required profile

• Engineering background with a proactive problem‑solving attitude.
• Ability to work under senior guidance and support junior engineers.
• Strong communication skills and teamwork orientation.
• Interest in staying up‑to‑date with industry trends and technological advancements.

Required skills

• Knowledge of engineering design standards.
• Familiarity with QRQC (Quick Response Quality Control) methodology.
• Ability to use digital engineering tools and create technical documentation.
• Basic understanding of project budgeting concepts.
