About the role
The Director of Services will lead the Housekeeping, Recreation/Health Club and Laundry functions at JW Marriott Goa. Reporting to senior hotel management, you will ensure guest rooms, public areas and employee spaces are impeccably maintained while driving financial performance and guest satisfaction.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee daily housekeeping operations, coordinating with Front Office to prioritize room cleaning and check‑out preparations.
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and ensure compliance with all housekeeping standards and procedures.
- Develop and manage the department budget, monitor controllable expenses, and achieve cost‑per‑occupied‑room targets.
- Lead an effective inspection program covering rooms, public areas, recreation facilities, laundry and grounds.
- Address guest complaints promptly, embed guest‑satisfaction metrics into team meetings, and empower staff to deliver exceptional service.
- Conduct HR activities including performance reviews, employee satisfaction monitoring, and recognition programs.
Required profile
- High school diploma or GED with at least 2 years of housekeeping or related experience, OR a 2‑year degree in Hotel & Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or a related field (no experience required).
- Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to manage a large team.
- Proven ability to manage budgets, control costs and drive financial results.
