Director of Sales (Hotel) – Goa

About the role

The Director of Sales will lead the sales function for a 160‑key upscale hotel near Panjim, Goa. Reporting to the General Manager, the role focuses on driving corporate and leisure business, maximizing revenue across group, transient, and catering segments.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement revenue‑driving sales strategies aligned with the hotel’s commercial goals.
• Achieve revenue and profitability targets by optimizing pricing, business mix and forecasting accuracy.
• Lead regular business reviews, analyse performance trends and contribute to long‑range commercial planning.
• Collaborate with revenue and marketing teams to ensure alignment of sales tactics, distribution and promotional activities.
• Build and maintain relationships with third‑party travel partners, key clients and stakeholders to generate demand and support site visits.
• Monitor market and competitor activity to inform strategy and maintain competitive positioning.
• Recruit, develop and motivate a high‑performing sales team through performance management and professional development.

Required profile

• Professional qualification in Sales & Marketing.
• 10‑12 years of unit sales experience in five‑star hotels, with a strong focus on corporate and travel trade/leisure segments.
• Proven track record of delivering revenue growth in a leisure destination, preferably Goa or similar markets.
• Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Required skills

• Experience with hotel management software such as Delphi, Salesforce, OnQ and Market Planner.
