Director, Field Finance (Lease Accounting)

About the role

The Director, Field Finance will lead McDonald’s Lease Accounting function, ensuring precise lease classification, income recognition and expense accounting across global markets. Based in Hyderabad, this senior role partners with market finance teams to deliver accurate financial data that supports strategic decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and oversee McDonald’s Lease Accounting operations, guaranteeing meticulous accuracy and strict compliance.
• Act as Global Process Owner for Lease Accounting, driving standardisation, documentation and effectiveness monitoring.
• Support Market Finance Teams in franchisee business reviews and financial health assessments.
• Deliver timely, accurate financial analysis to enable informed decisions across markets.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify and implement process optimisation and efficiency enhancements.
• Champion a unified reporting approach using enterprise reporting capabilities, ensuring consistency across markets.
• Lead a team of three direct reports, fostering a high‑performing, collaborative environment.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field.
• Professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) preferred.
• Minimum 10 + years of progressive experience in lease accounting, financial reporting or related functions.
• Strong English proficiency (written and verbal).
• Proven experience managing teams and third‑party providers in a global finance operations context.
• Experience working in a matrixed, multinational organisation.
