Design Verification Engineer

About the role

NXP Semiconductors is looking for a Design Verification Engineer in Pune. The role ensures the functional correctness and quality of semiconductor designs by developing and running comprehensive verification plans that validate complex digital circuits, helping deliver robust and reliable products.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and run verification environments and test benches using industry-standard methods such as UVM and SystemVerilog.
• Create detailed verification plans from design specifications, covering key functions and corner cases.
• Develop, run and debug test cases to verify the design against its specs.
• Analyze simulation results, find discrepancies and work with design engineers to fix them.
• Maintain verification collateral such as assertions, functional coverage models and scripts.
• Take part in verification reviews and help improve verification flows and tools.
• Work with design, architecture and software teams throughout the product lifecycle and document strategies, plans and results.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience of typically 2+ years in digital IC design verification.
• Solid understanding of digital design principles and architectures.
• Fluency in English, written and spoken.

Required skills

• SystemVerilog and UVM
• Simulation tools such as Questa, VCS or Xcelium
• Scripting languages such as Python, Perl or Tcl
• Functional coverage and assertion-based verification
