Design Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Design Engineer to develop detailed part and assembly designs for automation equipment. The role involves creating 2‑D and 3‑D models, preparing engineering drawings and supporting the manufacturing process.

Key responsibilities

• Develop CAD part designs and detailed 2‑D/3‑D models.
• Produce assembly drawings, part drawings and accurate Bills of Materials.
• Design fixtures for spot welding and MIG welding applications.
• Support system and fixture design within the automation industry.
• Apply GD&T principles to ensure design intent and manufacturability.
• Collaborate with tooling, machine and fabrication teams to validate designs.
• Provide documentation and use MS Excel and Word for design data management.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of CAD part design and ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and standards.
• Experience in the automation industry, including system and fixture design.
• Good understanding of manufacturing processes and GD&T.
• Ability to work on site for project design when required.
