Deputy Manager – Welding Operations

About the role

We are looking for a full‑time Deputy Manager – Welding Operations to lead on‑site welding activities at our Indapur facility. The role combines hands‑on technical supervision with team leadership to ensure high‑quality welding output across heavy‑engineering projects.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily welding operations, including arc, TIG and MIG processes.
• Ensure compliance with ISO‑based quality standards and project specifications.
• Develop, implement and continuously improve welding procedures.
• Lead and mentor a team of welding professionals, providing technical support and troubleshooting.
• Conduct inspections and non‑destructive testing to verify weld integrity.
• Maintain strict safety compliance in line with relevant regulations.
• Coordinate with design and manufacturing departments to resolve technical issues and optimise workflow.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Mechanical, Production or Metallurgical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum five years of experience in welding within heavy engineering or allied sectors.
• Proven expertise in arc, TIG and MIG welding techniques.
• Strong understanding of material properties and specific welding requirements.
• Demonstrated leadership and team‑management capabilities.
• Experience in creating and applying welding procedures and quality standards.
• Knowledge of safety regulations governing welding operations.
