Deli Assistant (Full‑time)

About the role

Centra is looking for a motivated Deli Assistant to join its busy Ballinteer Road store. You will work on a vibrant deli counter, preparing fresh hot and cold products while ensuring every customer leaves satisfied.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and assemble sandwiches, rolls, hot dishes and sliced meats following portion‑control standards.
• Cook, display and replenish deli items throughout the day to maintain visual appeal.
• Maintain the highest hygiene and food‑safety standards, including regular cleaning of work surfaces.
• Provide friendly, knowledgeable service, answering customer queries and offering product recommendations.
• Uphold Centra’s brand values – Proud, Energetic, Imaginative and Community‑Based – in all interactions.

Required profile

• Excellent communication skills with a customer‑focused attitude.
• Previous experience in a retail or food‑service environment is an advantage.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a fast‑paced team and multitask under pressure.
• A genuine passion for food and a desire to inspire shoppers.

Required skills

• HACCP training (desirable but not mandatory).
