Culinarian – Food Preparation Specialist

About the role

We are looking for a diligent Culinarian to join our kitchen team at Marriott International in Pune. You will be responsible for preparing high‑quality food items, maintaining hygiene standards, and supporting the overall culinary operation.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients – portion, chop, wash, peel, weigh, and measure.
• Cook and assemble dishes according to recipes, quality, and presentation standards.
• Operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers safely.
• Prepare cold foods and ensure proper food storage.
• Test and monitor food for proper cooking and temperature.
• Set up and break down work stations, serve food in correct portions, and maintain a clean kitchen environment.
• Follow all safety, sanitation, and company policies; report any hazards.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year of related culinary or food‑preparation experience.
• No supervisory experience required.
• No specific license or certification required.

Required skills

• Food preparation and portioning.
• Cooking techniques and recipe execution.
• Operation of kitchen equipment (ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, fryers).
• Food safety, sanitation, and temperature monitoring.
