Cashier

About the role

The Cashier will be the first point of contact for guests, ensuring smooth and accurate transaction processing while delivering friendly service in a hospitality-focused environment.

Key responsibilities

• Handle customer transactions accurately, processing cash, card and digital payments and issuing receipts.
• Greet guests, respond to basic inquiries and keep the checkout area clean and organized.
• Balance the cash register at the end of each shift, monitor shortages or discrepancies and follow procedures for returns and exchanges.
• Coordinate with the service team, support order processing and ensure compliance with company policies.

Required profile

• Strong numerical aptitude and accuracy in cash handling and transaction reconciliation.
• Excellent customer service skills with clear communication, patience and a professional demeanor.
• Basic computer proficiency and experience with POS and billing systems.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational abilities to maintain orderly workstations and records.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks efficiently.
• Prior experience in cashier, retail or hospitality environments is beneficial.
• Reliability, integrity and adherence to cash management policies.
• Completion of secondary education; additional training in retail or hospitality is a plus.
