Corporate Litigation Lawyer

About the role

The Boston Institute of Analytics is seeking a Corporate Litigation Lawyer to lead and manage its litigation portfolio in India. The role involves overseeing all phases of corporate disputes, from initial assessment through appeals, while providing strategic legal advice to senior management.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full lifecycle of litigation cases, including drafting pleadings, motions, affidavits and other court documents.
• Coordinate with witnesses, domain experts, external counsel and law enforcement agencies as required.
• Maintain comprehensive case files, ensuring adherence to timelines and procedural requirements.
• Conduct exhaustive legal research to support litigation strategy and stay updated on statutory changes and landmark judgments.
• Represent the institute before courts, tribunals, government agencies and arbitration forums, and participate in mediation and other ADR processes.
• Provide legal advice to management and internal teams, interpreting complex documents and assessing legal impact of business initiatives.
• Review and analyze legal and business documents, assist in e‑discovery, and flag inconsistencies.
• Liaise with cross‑functional teams (HR, Finance, Operations, Compliance) and manage relationships with external law firms.
• Identify potential legal liabilities, contribute to internal audits, compliance reviews and risk assessments.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing corporate litigation from inception to resolution.
• Strong ability to draft and review court documents, pleadings and legal memoranda.
• Experience coordinating with external counsel, witnesses and regulatory bodies.
• Demonstrated skill in legal research and staying current with evolving corporate law.
• Capability to provide actionable legal advice to senior management and cross‑functional teams.
