Junior Associate – Litigation (Fresher or 3+ yrs)

About the role

We are expanding our litigation team and have two openings: a fresher associate (LL.B. 2025/2026 batch, Bar enrolment pending) and an associate with at least three years of active litigation experience. Both positions involve handling civil, criminal, matrimonial, property, testamentary and consumer matters in Mumbai and across India.

Key responsibilities

• Attend court daily, note dates, roznama and report back on the same day.
• Conduct legal research on SCC Online and Manupatra and produce clear notes.
• Draft pleadings, petitions, applications, affidavits and appeals independently.
• e‑file documents on Bombay High Court, eCourts and other portals.
• Manage client meetings, including virtual NRI consultations, and guide junior associates.
• Argue matters before various courts and tribunals.

Required profile

• Strong interest and experience in litigation.
• Fluency in English and Hindi (Marathi/Gujarati a plus).
• Clear, accurate legal drafting in English.
• Working knowledge of the new criminal laws (BNS, BNSS, BSA) and existing provisions.
• Discretion, strict confidentiality and punctuality.
• Willingness to travel outside Mumbai for court appearances.

Required skills

• Legal research using SCC Online and Manupatra.
• Legal drafting of pleadings, petitions, applications and appeals.
• E‑filing on Bombay High Court, eCourts and other portals.
• Proficiency with MS Office and Google Workspace.
