Corporate Legal Counsel

About the role

We are seeking a Corporate Legal Counsel to act as the principal legal advisor for our organization. Based in Trivandrum, you will work closely with executive leadership to provide pragmatic legal guidance across multiple jurisdictions.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure corporate governance and compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies in various jurisdictions.
• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts, employment agreements, and other legal documents.
• Manage regulatory compliance, including labour and industry‑specific requirements.
• Support mergers and acquisitions, including due diligence and post‑transaction integration.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate legal risks, and oversee litigation matters when necessary.
• Provide strategic legal advice that balances risk with commercial objectives.

Required profile

• Demonstrated ownership and accountability in delivering high‑quality legal work.
• Strong ability to research and apply unfamiliar legislation or new jurisdictions quickly.
• Excellent communication skills to explain legal risks and recommend practical solutions.
• Ability to remain composed under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
• High level of judgment, humility, and willingness to challenge assumptions.
• Attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and consistency.
• Proven relationship‑building skills with both legal and non‑legal stakeholders.
• Willingness to work onsite, travel internationally occasionally, and balance empathy with pragmatism.
