Construction Head – Solar Manufacturing (GW-scale)

About the role

The Construction Head will lead the end‑to‑end execution of a GW‑scale solar ingot, wafer and cell manufacturing facility. Reporting to senior management, you will be responsible for delivering all civil, structural, architectural, MEP and process‑equipment works on schedule, within budget and to the required quality and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement the overall construction strategy, sequencing and site mobilisation plan aligned with the project schedule.
• Lead and coordinate EPC contractors, package contractors, subcontractors and internal teams across civil, structural, MEP and utility disciplines.
• Monitor construction milestones, productivity, manpower and equipment utilisation, and take corrective actions to keep the project on critical path.
• Oversee major civil works including foundations, buildings, PEB and RCC structures, roads, drainage and warehouses.
• Supervise installation of facility utilities such as HVAC, electrical, water, compressed air, fire‑protection, DG, substations and wastewater treatment systems.
• Collaborate with process engineering and equipment OEMs to ensure proper installation, alignment and commissioning readiness of solar manufacturing equipment.
• Ensure compliance with statutory approvals, quality assurance procedures and safety regulations throughout construction.

Required profile

• 22‑28 years of experience in large‑scale industrial construction, preferably in solar PV manufacturing.
• Proven track record of managing GW‑scale greenfield projects from site development to handover.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to direct multidisciplinary teams and manage multiple contractors.
• Deep understanding of civil, structural, MEP and utility systems in an industrial environment.
